“Lighters To The Sky” is an uplifting rock single from Bristol-based artist Chandra, who achieves in his aim to “write a positive, uplifting antidote to the blues.” He continues: “This is basically a love song to all the people who have a dream but are struggling… who know deep down inside what they want to do but can’t find the support they need to follow it through.”
“Always aim high, let your dreams fly,” Chandra sings into the resonating central hook, propelled by dexterous guitar twangs amidst Chandra’s passionate vocal work. “Your lighters to the sky.” The initial lyrics reflect fearing the fall, and risk-taking in general, while the bright guitar pulses and lyrical pleas to “ignore the crowd,” and blaze your own trail build delightfully into the spirited, motivational qualities in the chorus. “Lighters To The Sky” is a bright light within the murky waters of busy work-days and day-to-day pressures.
