A moody and budding success from Long Beach-based duo Mono Sources, “Perfect Silence” traverses a mystique-filled soundscape with late-night synth tones and patient guitar builds. Lyrically touching “upon wonder, belief, and finding emergence and solace from turmoil,” the track serves as another success from the act, who first caught our ears in February with previous single “Our Own.”
“Everybody wants you to find it, right out in the open,” the vocals let out amidst bouncy synth pulses, twinkling keys, and moody guitar spells. The vocals exude a haunting, Thom Yorke-esque croon that fits aptly within this contemplative, dark sound. The “skin of your bones,” expanse stirs further, with escalating percussion and buzzing guitar theatrics. “Perfect Silence” is another riveting showing from this rising duo.
