NYC artist Les Techno again delivers a stellar, melodically unveiling track in “Make You Feel Good,” which he describes as “loosely based on something I know too much about.” The debonair vocal stylings and chugging guitar distortion relays a slice-of-life portrayal lyrically, depicting a budding Brooklyn-set romance and its development into more complex questions and scenarios, when suburban/country living takes place.
The suave questioning escalates into a hooky touch of yearning power-pop. “Does it make you feel good when you tear my heart away?” the vocals ask with heartrending insight. “Now that time is sliding far away…” Les Techno continues in the concluding bridge, diversifying enjoyably into hypnotic guitar lines that intermingle effortlessly with the wailing guitar soaring. “Make You Feel Good” seemingly captures the highs and lows of a relationship, from the confident initial entrancement to the pleading questioning of later dramatics.
