faults. – “Just Let It”

/

A brisk dream-pop sound envelops on “Just Let It,” the debut single from faults., the solo project of Berlin-based Swedish artist KC Dahlehan. The initial aesthetic, with its hazy synth backing and post-punk bass pops, enamors with an understated contemplation. Just prior to the one-minute turn, a whirring and soaring effect adds a captivating sensation, guiding beautifully into the blissfully dreamy vocal hook thereafter. “Just Let It” unfolds with caressing, hooky charm.

Dahlehan is also known for their work as vocalist and guitarist for the post-punk trio Plaisir. “Just Let It” was written alongside Stockholm-based producer Peter Lundgren, in addition to collaborations with German producer Dirk Feistel. The single is described as “a falsely upbeat tale of excess; pleasures that lead us to question our sanity, and the blurred boundaries of a deep connection.”
