The San Diego-based project of Kristin Allen-Farmer enamored with previous singles “I Take To You” and “Promise of a New Day” — and with “Carry Me” delivers a more infectious, electronic-minded sound that expands the lusher dream-pop palate into a more club-friendly, synth-forward allure.
A collaboration with Bay Area-based producer Lucien Francis, “Carry Me” is a climactic riser that culminates in a heady “beautiful,” refrain — propelled by a dazzling range of synths both buzzing and dreamy in nature. Allen-Farmer’s maintain an engrossing mystique throughout, with the pitch distortion amidst the final “beautiful,” refrain sending chills.
