DG Adams – “Screens”

/

A new track from Vancouver-based artist DG Adams, “Screens” plays like a therapeutic push to ditch the screen and head outside. The artist, who has impressed previously with singles like “Queen of the Sky” and “Dangerous,” showcases a meditative and hypnotic sound propelled by lush acoustics and beautiful vocal harmonizing.

Gentle guitar jangles guide into a haunting synth layering, sounding like the introduction as we enter the woods of Twin Peaks. “A screen is not a sky,” the opening vocals convey, joined by haunting backing vocal harmonizing shortly thereafter. “Go outside,” the plea continues, offering a gentle encouragement to embrace life beyond the screen and its often resulting doom-scrolling. “Screens” is a resonating, poignant piece from DG Adams.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2023’ Spotify playlist.
