John Texas – “We’re All Ghosts”

/

Traverse through a darkened garden pathway, as the glowing eyes of woodland creatures stalk from a distance; the cinematic accompaniment to this sight would probably sound something like “We’re All Ghosts” from John Texas, a Netherlands-based artist whose rock sound exudes a late-night mystique.

“I see the moon of your eyes as I die,” his vocals let out prior to a moody guitar-driven rise, with the ensuing guitar distortion and vocal suaveness showing an ’80s nostalgia. The debonair chorus and creeping verses make for an engaging listen throughout, with plenty of rock-laden atmosphere.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2023’ Spotify playlist.
