Los Angeles-based artist Claire Brooks consumes with the single “Oxygen,” traversing from dreamy guitar chirps into a replay-inducing hook with dazzling charisma, propelled by Juno-106 synth work. “Don’t you wanna feel alive?” the vocals ask during the intoxicating mid-point, with bouncy synths complementing a supremely melodic vocal energy. The hypnotic vocal mix and addictive synth infusions dazzle throughout.
“‘Oxygen’ opens up a conversation on human beings’ relationship to air,” Brooks says. “This single is a part of a larger project that aims to comprehend what it means to be human through music.”
