The suavely infectious “Total Perspective” is a new single from Nactus Kunan, a band from Beeston, Nottingham. Following a two year hiatus, the act captivates in their return with “Total Perspective,” which Nactus Kunan recorded at home using synths and drum machines, then mixed/produced remotely by Sugar House. “Total Perspective” represents the start of fruitful activity from the act, who have a slew of new releases planned over the coming months.
Clanging synths and a plucky synth-bass craft a tightly hypnotic pulse initially. The “I’ve been trying to get out,” hook is joined by guitars and effervescent synth soaring, dazzling with an anthemic allure into a more spirited synth presence as the vocals entice: “come with me.” Playful piano bounces lead a compelling mid-point bridge, satiating into a melodic conclusion with synth-pop appeal, tempting listeners to join them on a “midnight cruise.” We’re in!
