Propelled by dreamy synths and dynamic vocal work, “In The Morning” is a new track from Dang Clets (pronounced “cleats”). The dream-pop success kickstarts with twinkling, underlying synths amidst a pulsing bass line, fitted with a post-punk tint.
Ghostly synth pads appear instead as the vocals assume a more laid-back demeanor in the verses, driving climactically to the soaring title-referencing enthusiasm. Twangy guitar work in the final minute adds wonderfully to the mix, injecting an atmospheric rock component to the delectable production.
The project is prepping a forthcoming album, Plans, which they describe as “basically about the absurdity of having thought you had it mapped out.”
