“Will You Still Be There” is a new track from Danish singer/songwriter Alexander Grandjean. A producer for the past decade for other artists — primarily in the R&B, hip-hop, and pop genres — Grandjean started releasing his solo material last year. This track, and others of similar excellence, can be heard on Grandjean’s new album, Lost Minds.
Exuding a chilled-out yet melodically infectious character, “Will You Still Be There” is enjoyably representative of Grandjean’s sound, fusing blue-eyed soul and modern pop. The vocals on “Will You Still Be There” are light and airy, gliding seamlessly amidst lush guitars. “If I find a way home, can I reach you?” the vocals ask during the spirited rise, approaching the one-minute turn. Serene woodwinds and hypnotic guitar strums close the track with a satiating focus.
