Solomon Sprenger – “Closer Than Ever”

//

Touting standout production in its fusing of psych-pop and electronica, “Closer Than Ever” is a new track from Solomon Sprenger, the Anaheim-based artist featured in 2020 with the album Say What You Know.

“Closer Than Ever” enthralls quickly with a variety of shifts in vocal tones amidst escalating synths and serene guitars. Sections like the faded-out vocal effect at 01:11 into the psych-friendly thumping shift stand out, as well as the “I can’t see the world outside,” growth into the surf-tinged pop. “Closer Than Ever” is a melodic success full of interesting twists/turns.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2022’ Spotify playlist.
