A blissfully serene track with psych-pop inclinations, “Hideout 1137” is the stellar debut single from Rat Spa, a project based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A mellow bass line and bouncy keys complement the vocal lead, tonally laid-back in leading to the fluttering acoustics and keys past the one-minute mark. Chirpy audible effects intermingle with shifty vocal sequencing past he mid-point, as later sonic assortments of a rooster crowing and birds chirping lend to the eerily hypnotic feeling. “Hideout 1137” touts considerable atmospheric and psychedelic allure from Rat Spa, who also recently released the track “Smokes.”
