Echoing classic psych-pop nostalgia, “Reflexopolis” is a new single from Amsterdam-based artist Cosmic Crooner. Aptly describing his material as “Doowop Spacepop” in an interview, Cosmic Crooner exudes a lovely mixture of starry-eyed pop bounciness and harmonized rock theatrics. The initial push of woodwinds and dramatic vocals on “Reflexopolis” gradually escalates upon the perky twinkling past the 30-second turn. Twangy guitars enter sporadically prior to becoming a prominent force in the final minute, the guitars and orchestral textures exuding a lovely Wall of Sound nostalgia throughout. “Reflexopolis” is a well-produced gem from Cosmic Crooner.
