Displaying a lovely fusing of chamber-pop and vocal jazz-pop, “Far, Far Away” is an alluring release from London-based artist Florie Namir. The opening track on the I Wanna Be in Love EP, “Far, Far Away” sets the release’s tone with its melodic yearning and standout production. “It seems so far away,” Namir laments amidst intensifying piano and ardent strings. These strings and melodic, reflective guitars converge beautifully past the two-minute mark; Namir’s wordless vocal force enchants thereafter, the song achieving climactic fervency with cohesion and captivation. Consuming from the start and offering a fantastic melodic expansion in the second half, “Far, Far Away” is a moving piece from Namir.
