The Austin-based 1st Base Runner provides a lovely take on one of his favorite tracks. The haunting piano and solemn vocals craft intrigue, the black-and-white video and VHS nostalgia adding enjoyably to the overall feel. Thom Yorke’s original vocals in the track are legendary, and 1st Base Runner’s offers an alternative to his tone that works effectively. “Rabbit In Your Headlights” — originally released in 1997 — is certainly deserving of further retrospective appreciation, as conveyed here.
