Seattle-based artist Beatrix Sky presents a dreamy yearning throughout “American Spirit,” the title track off the American Spirit EP. Lonesome guitar tones and serene synths accompany opening lyrics — “I took a drive,” — with an apt soundscape for late-night journeys into the unknown. The track gradually builds to a moving mid-point with added guitar glistening. “It’s just me and my American spirit / I don’t want to give up on you.” Previously impressing with the tracks “Forget Me” and “Love Drug,” Beatrix Sky continues to show memorably with “American Spirit.”
