Oneo Fakind – “The Coniologist”

/

Experimental electronic project Oneo Fakind intrigue throughout their latest album The Start of Something, indicated enjoyably the twinkling, ever-expanding “The Coniologist.” Coniology, specifically, is the study of atmospheric dust — so the track’s spacey, climactic feeling is appropriate. Hectic piano tones linger in the background amidst various vocal effects and key clanging, with a bit of Sigur Rós likeness in the gradual key twinkles. Synth involvement is more prominent by the mid-point, with swelling, buzzing bass and a sonorous backing shimmer adding enjoyably.

“The Coniologist” and other memorable tracks from December can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2020’ Spotify playlist.
