The newly released “Sunday Driving” is a shimmering and hooky rocker from Bay Area act Pretty in Between, from the project’s upcoming eponymous debut LP (out 5/14). The “fire is raging on,” chorus soars with infectious charm, following intriguing verses that muse about universal anxieties. This chorus takes off especially well in the second half, amidst thunderous guitars and expressive vocal feelings, excitably ascending with extra melodic appeal approaching the three-minute mark. Fun and filled with catchy energy, “Sunday Driving” is a winner from Pretty in Between.
