Shamanic Love is an atmospheric, trance-inducing release from from Nordic electronic duo Astralseid, conjuring heady and spiritual vibes. The duo show commendable tonal variation throughout, ranging from patient, meditative sprawls to bustling dance-friendly beats. Opening track “Shadow Love” shows precisely that, evolving from tribal-like processions in the beginning to expansive electronic-minded layers in the mid-section and very end. Another album cut, “Liberty” grows from dark, cavernous moods into buzzing, industrial vigor. Shamanic Love is an intriguing listen throughout.
