Hypnotic guitar jangles and tranquil synths accompany dazed vocals, expanding into a more glistening, expressive vocal tone past the one-minute mark. 02:30 sees a striking final segment, where spacey synths emerge with greater prominence; the track ascends into atmospheric heights here, especially as the brassy resonance hits. “Island Glow” puts Placid Cactus firmly on my radar.
