Tall Thief‘s “A Place I Know” was among my favorite tracks of 2020, and “Daydreaming” continues that quality, undoubtedly. Soaring vocals exude lyrical escapism amidst buzzing guitars to start, gearing toward a suavely melodic chorus that firmly hooks. The chorus’ galloping bass line and strong vocal lead converge amidst jangly guitars for a fully replay-inducing effect. A pulsing bridge, just prior to the three-minute mark, builds a satisfying finale. “Daydreaming” succeeds with a catchy, psych-filled sound — showing another surefire success from Tall Thief.
