Enfant Terrible – “Wait With Me”

//

First catching my ear with the excellent “Theodore” and L’air du Temps this past fall, Enfant Terrible captivate with the music video for “Wait With Me,” the EP’s fourth track. Lush brass eventually accompany the acoustics with a serene, meditative charm. The ethereal vocals, established in several layers from the band’s members, escalates around 01:40 with a haunting glow. The percussive entry in the second half adds a gently effective accompaniment to the vocals and guitars. The video itself is a beautiful collection of shots from the North Devon Countryside.

The band says of the track: ““Wait With Me” was one of those songs that underwent several re-writes in different keys on different instruments with different tunings. It’s about two people feeling an intense draw to one another and reaching out across time and space to communicate and be with each other.”
