Lush and spacey with an entrancing melodic pull, “A Slow Return” is a memorable new track from There’s Talk. Impressing with the bathed water moon EP in 2018, the Oakland-based trio is prepping the release of their third EP, Great Falls, of which “A Slow Return” is a part. Olivia Lee’s serenely gripping vocal presence joins with synth-laden frequencies for a mystical-sounding success, joined lovingly by tender guitar twangs after the first-minute mark. Hazy, twinkling textures and dreamy vocals concoct another standout showing from There’s Talk.
