Solomon Sprenger – “Green Bean”

/

The playfully hypnotic “Green Bean” is a memorable new track from Solomon Sprenger, off his new album, Say What You Know. The suave initial vocal momentum and synth-laden flashes remind fondly of Dent May, aesthetically. Just prior to the one-minute, the soaring chorus — “my love is green,” — becomes accompanied by bursting synths and subsequent guitars, parts futuristic-sounding and familiarly melodic. The Anaheim-based artist impressed in May with the track “Peace,” and continues to show quality songwriting and production with this one.

“I wrote this song in the midst of a rough breakup,” Sprenger says. “The chorus is silly because I think I was dealing with my emotions by poking fun at love and love songs in general, by saying my love is green, my love is bean.”
