Päter – “Sleep”

//

An anthemic rock track alternating between retrospective verses and a roaring chorus, “Sleep” is a track from Päter, off their debut self-produced EP, SOLE. The track’s “catch a cold breath,” halting at 01:40 plays with infectious, ’90s alt-rock allure. A tender guitar solo follows, with a catching “hush now,” bridge thereafter. I’m enjoying how “Sleep” manages to transport me to alt-rock nostalgia of yesteryear, while still sounding fresh and inventive.

“Sleep” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2020’ Spotify playlist.
