Erich Mrak – “Girls”

/

A catchy new track from Erich Mrak, “Girls” tout a funky rhythm section and suave vocal lead — with a vibe fit for dance-floor yearning. “Initially “Girls” was titled “Boys” and centered around the dynamic of a close female friend of mine going through heartbreak,” Mrak says. “While the context of “Girls” centers around a recent heartbreak, the core message of the song lies in the supportive dynamic friendship plays in encouraging someone they can do better.” A crisp pop-friendly beginning, with lush guitars and vocals, proves accessible. Thereafter, a vibrant electro-tinged pop sound takes over, complemented by effective vocal effects that mesh well with the futuristic vibe. Mrak has impressed with a multitude of prior tracks, and this is another fine one.

“Girls” and other memorable tracks released this past June can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2020’ Spotify playlist.
