Fresh off impressing with the track “Leo,” Easy Honey return with another catchy success in “Body Language.” Chugging guitars lead to a mellow series of vocals, with serene guitars and slight key twinkles. The “your body language,” hook that follows shows a rising rock sound, parts modern power-pop and parts ’90s alt-rock nostalgia, like Smith Westerns crossed with Ozma. The likes of “Leo” and “Body Language’ certainly have me anticipating the group’s upcoming double EP, Maritime Love Affair.
The band elaborates on the track’s background below:
“‘Body Language’ is the story of a hurricane evacuation, where a group of friends packed up the essentials and left everything behind. Musically and lyrically, the song is an allegory for the indiscriminate and destructive nature of love.”
