“Walk in the Park” is a stirring alt-rocker with ’90s nostalgia. The track comes via Slow Caves, a band formed in Fort Collins, Colorado. Vocals and distorted guitars throughout feel like they lounging and stretching out, enjoyably so considering the influences and psych-friendly rock aesthetic. 02:40 shows a fun escalation with whirring guitar addition, reminding of Billy Corgan’s guitar work circa Siamese Dream, with an elongated melodic fervor. The heavy, lingering guitars and enveloping vocals throughout make for a convincing sound.
Slow Caves write: “‘Walk in the Park’ was written while falling in love with a close friend of mine. It was the most dreamy, summer romance. It was also during a realization of the importance of self-love and focusing on mental health. Going on walks is really beneficial to my mental health and so are open and public spaces like parks.”
