Rosa Ama – “Lost on the People”

/

The third single from duo Rosa Ama, “Lost on the People” impresses with a hypnotic soundscape and melodic drive. Formed in 2019 with an intent to blend classic soulful house, contemporary disco, electronica, and pop, the project is the collaboration of Berlin-based British songwriter David Harks and Belgian composer Vicente Milioto da Palma aka Vhyce. Rosa Ama emphasize the house-forward influence within “Lost on the People” via the clanging piano repetition and developing synth arp, combining with a lushly effective vocal presence for stellar results. This is the type of track that yearns for replays, thanks to its mysterious atmospheric charm and hypnotic structure.

“With the social distancing and self-isolation taking place right now, it’s really quite a timely release,” Harks says. “‘Lost on the People’ is about spending time communicating with yourself, hence when the words got lost on the people.”

“Lost on the People” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2020’ Spotify playlist.
