The “never had it better,” hook plays like a fresh summer breeze, capped off by a tender guitar twang punctuation. The “don’t you ever say never,” bridge around 02:25 shows a successful change-up, indicative of JRtheBand’s knack for interesting melodic hooks and structural transitions. JRtheBand’s lively song structures, ardent vocal melodies, and shimmering production makes for a stirring sound.
