“RM-1711” is a gripping track from Gallowayyys, who impressed with “Cold Showers” in March. The project, now based in Dallas, is one of the most exciting I’ve come across this year — displaying an atmospheric and melodic blend of hip-hop, psytrance, house, and dance-pop. “RM-1711” showcases its uniquely engaging aesthetic in alluring form. Bouncy, reflective vocals and pulsing rhythms establish a blissful soundscape to start, with a lush hip-hop flow emerging during the track’s middle. The conclusion merges ghostly backing synths with the intro’s exuberance, solidifying the release as an atmospheric and melodically addicting gem.
“RM-1711” represents the first single from Gallowayyys’ forthcoming independently produced EP BK-TO-MY-RM, featuring the artist’s signature multi-vox style, DIY mix, and original production. The EP releases on July 10th, exploring the “artist’s various surreal experiences as a ’90s baby and INFJ from the south side of Houston, Texas.”
