“Lulu & Blue” is an entrancing slow jam from Soul Love, the project of Berklee College of Music students Keely Williamson and Michael Davidson. Per the band, the project’s debut single was “inspired by the sound of worn out tape machines, warm summer days and reruns of old Star Trek episodes.” Smooth guitar licks and suave vocals lead the verses, while the “love is waiting for you,” chorus glides with added charisma. Soul Love wins over easily on “Lulu & Blue” with its slow-jam smoothness and melodically gripping chorus.
