“When I See You Again” is a consuming track from Castle Finn, the second release from the Wabash Valley-based band. The “when I see you again,” retrospection leads to pleasant guitar jangles through the two-minute mark, preceded by a crisply melodic lead-in. At this point, a vibrant and hooky bridge sees an uptick in vocal passion. Soulful and suave, “When I See You Again” is an accessible and delectable success from Castle Finn. I’m definitely looking forward to their next release.
The band provides more info on the track below:
“The song is about coming to terms with loss of a close friend and explores the possibility of reuniting via reincarnation. It’s part celebration of a life-well lived via the energetic chorus and overall upbeat rhythm. We are then left with palpable forlornness manifested in the longing vocals and melodious guitar licks. The new single is wholly self-produced by Patrick Murphy of Castle Finn.”
