“Careful Is My Middle Name” is a catchy, hazy rocker from Gentle Ivanhoe Death Skulls, the Stockholm-based act that impressed in 2017 with the track “Green Hang Ten.” Compared to that effort’s post-punk murkiness, “Careful Is My Middle Name” pursues a more melodic direction, somewhere in the power-pop and garage-rock vein. Hitting precisely at the one-minute mark, the track’s chorus is wonderfully melodic and replay-inducing. Look for the project’s new EP in the coming months.
