Released today, “Autumn Wind” is a dreamy success from Weston Smith. With lyrics pertaining to “the fear of love with the changing of the seasons,” the track crafts a stunning soundscape that brings forth romantic mystique and yearning. The synth tones throughout project an otherworldly, chilling feel alongside hypnotic percussion. Lush vocals complement well, emerging more prominently within the mix past the one-minute mark, when the swaying synth tone encompasses the soundscape with greater vigor. “Autumn Wind” captivates with its chilling soundscape and mysterious melodic grip.
Weston Smith will be releasing his upcoming album Mirror World on 5/1. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered over the span of a year in Weston’s home studio in Northern Virginia, featuring additional guitar and flute lines from his dear friends John Longbottom (guitar) and Nick King (flute). “With my move to Arizona approaching, this album means even more to me due to the fact that these are some of the last recordings I’ll have produced in my hometown,” Weston says. “This marks the end of a creative period and the birth of a new one.”
