Gliding synths and a more contemplative rhythmic backbone kick off “Train,” the latest track from Danish producer Tymoxx (formerly known by the project GingerAle feat. Karren). Kahiti adds to the track with serenely engaging vocals, aligning marvelously with the guitar-based crunches and nocturnal synth tones. Melodic pop sentiments combine with a nocturnal electronic soundscape for an atmospheric, melodic listen. The moody production and accessible melody succeed here, showing Tymoxx as a project worth paying attention to. The expansive, dance-forward conclusion also succeeds, reminding fondly of Röyksopp’s production.
