Räre Birds are a newly formed band from Stockholm, Sweden. Their two tracks “Sound of Lies” and “Endless Summer” show an enjoyably laid-back sound, steeped in jangly guitars and serene vocals. “Sound of Lies” is in the more jangle-pop vein of the two, while “Endless Summer” shows as a moody rocker, comfortable in stretching out its glistening guitars. Both tracks come via the band’s EP Living Room Tapes, released on 10/25. The EP shows a band with a clear knack for melodic satisfaction in a mellow vein.
