“Cala Lillies” is a strong rock track from Brooklyn-based act Good Time Mystery Vision, exuding a timeless feel with its twangy guitars and ardent vocal presence. The rousing vocal section just prior to the two-minute mark fondly reminds of My Morning Jacket. The “sweet cala lilies, don’t break my heart,” turn thereafter plays excellently too, adding a sentimentality to the roaring rock authenticity. “Cala Lillies” is consuming throughout, and a nice showing of the band’s ample potential.
Good Time Mystery Vision will follow up this track with the next single, “Be Good,” on 12/4.
