VS Colour – “All Or Enough”

/

VS Colour impress with “All Or Nothing,” a striking track that grows from chugging suaveness into a bursting rocker. The Los Angeles-based act describe “All Or Enough” as a “song about choices.” A moody first half rides patiently, clearly building toward a big second half. What that transition arrives, signaled by excellent vocal interaction at the two-minute mark, a vibrant rhythm section and perky guitar tones emerge alongside charismatic vocals; everything amps up a bit here. Aesthetically, there are points that remind me of Grizzly Bear and Field Music (particularly when the vocals ascend in pitch). “All Or Enough” is a wonderful journey of a rock track from VS Colour.

Look out for the band’s upcoming album, Entitled, in November — touching on their “own spin on psychedelia, R ‘n’ B, electronica, yacht rock, and hip hop.”

“All Or Enough” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Rock.
