“Bad Blood” is the debut single from Brite, a band hailing from Winnipeg. The one-minute mark — “to keep me to keep you,” — finds a more forcefully melodic guitar tone alongside the escalating vocals, firmly grabbing me thereafter. Leading back into the hypnotic, bouncing verses, the track establishes itself as a familiarly enjoyable effort, one recalling college-rock and alternative of the ’90s and early ’00s. I’m looking forward to hearing more from Brite, who have their first full band show on October 20th.
