The fantastically chilled-out underwater love song “Waterbaby” is a collaboration between Toronto-based producer Yaehsun (Jason Haberman) and lyricist/vocalist José Contreras. The track successfully touts an aquatic mode of production, with fizzing and tranquil rhythms complementing a melodic flow that equates to gently caressing water bubbles. Yaehsun aptly describes the effort as “an underwater love song that was made for sunny days.”
Yaehsun artist further explains: “This was our first time collaborating with each other. The recording process was like dipping two pieces of dark chocolate into a jar of natural peanut butter at once for the first time. But seriously, Jose is a complete inspiration of a human. Pure trust of intuition.”
