“Heaven Is a Feeling” is a superb track from new project Middle Youth, the project of Brooklyn-based producer and musician Harper James (member of Eighty Ninety). His production credits include Stevie Wolf, Bell the Band, Hasan Malik, and the recently featured Aaron Taos.
Middle Youth captivates with a sound steeped in glistening pop accessibility, with an added bedroom-pop edge. Aesthetically, the track’s hook has a fondness likeness to The 1975. The bouncy backing distortion and melodic key accompaniment do well in aiding the building verses, which are atmospherically enjoyable with doses of ’80s nostalgia.
The track comes via the project’s recently released EP, streaming in full below. It’s recommended to check out, for sure.
