Julia Clara is an artist from the Åland Islands, producing a vein of stirring, dark pop with creative structures and tones. “Young & Ungrateful” is evident of this creativity and exploration. Pit-pattering percussion and delicate vocals form the initial feel, with the added percussion and vibrant synth pad at 01:13 showing initial sounds of expansion. By the track’s conclusion, the build-up of melodic and rhythmic components make “Young & Ungrateful” a very enjoyable listen.
