A chilled-out soundscape is accompanied by calming vocals, assuming a hazy demeanor over the whirring synth arpeggio and crawling rhythms. The hip-hop and psych-pop elements are evident, in the rhythmic backing and hypnotic vocal flow, respectively. “Distant Mood” is a consuming success with a tendency to put listeners in a relaxed mindset.
