“Callin’ of the Cause” is a vibrant track infusing blues and gospel tones, a highlight off Soul Numbers, from Connecticut-based artist Stan “Seneko” Olshefski. Previously impressing with the track “True Dimension” a couple years ago, the artist returns with five tracks on Soul Numbers. Backing vocalists Kendra Chantelle, Nicole Boggs, and Maureen Murphy play great roles throughout in complementing Olshefski’s confident lead. Evolving past the more pop-directed sound of past tracks, Soul Numbers emphasizes a more songwriting-focused approach with expansion in the genres of soul, blues, and gospel.
