After impressing with the track “Hey Jackie” last month, Toronto-based artist Nyssa is back with another success that infuses a confident vocal swagger amidst an engaging melody, one that melds a buzzing guitar with twinkling keys.
The track is dubbed as a “a sci-fi pulp satire call to arms—or call to the dance floor—in the age of climate catastrophe,” a vibe echoed well in the video’s colors and effects. “I Don’t Wanna Live On The Moon (Without U)” was self-produced alongside various friends and collaborators in the Toronto scene: Matthew Aldred (Michael Rault, Teenage Man), Zack Burgess (Gardenworld, Kremlin), Carlyn Bezic (Ice Cream, Darlene Shrugg), on guitar, bass, drums, and synths, respectively. I continue to anticipate anything Nyssa releases.
