Midiskirts produce atmospheric pop out of Athens, GA — recalling the hypnagogic pop aesthetic of Ariel Pink. The act is building momentum with their memorable sound, earning a live spot on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network) on June 27th. The track “Goes Both Ways” comes via their forthcoming album The Look, releasing on May 31st. Judging by this track and “This Way That,” Midiskirts are adept at consuming textures within a melodic pop structure of intertwining vocal melodies, in a lovably lo-fi vein.
