Matt Shapiro – “Is There Something Going On?”

Based out of NYC, Matt Shapiro is an accomplished singer/songwriter whose music has appeared in a variety of TV shows, including , Melrose Place, and 15/Love. Shaprio, who has released four albums, crafts a lushly melodic sound on new track “Is There Something Going On?” The melody reminds me fondly of Gorillaz’ “Stop the Dams,” with a similarly twinkling allure. Hearing Shapiro’s melodic aptitude and easy-listening production, it’s easy to see why his music is fit for mainstream digestion, all while showing atmospheric creativity and addictive melodies. His new EP FADE IN releases on March 8th.
