“Changing” is a track released today from Daria Black, whose track “Not That Girl” we premiered a couple weeks ago. “Changing” builds from the get-go, with a shaky guitar presence accompanied by a bass drum and additional guitar flourishes. “Don’t expect your typical actress, you will find your one and only diamond in the rough,” Black sings, leading seamlessly into a melodic and atmospheric chorus, capped off by a bright melody that resembles a guitar/synth cross. The bridge approaching the two-minute mark features lush, swaying guitars that work wonderfully with Black’s escalating vocal emotion. Throughout the track’s three minutes, there’s commendable range in tone and eclectic hooks. “Changing” continues a strong month for Daria Black, who drops her EP next month.
